There’s really no macaron that tells someone you mean business, other than Ladurée.
Many have reveled in the 8 Rockwell flagship’s little shop of French delights– and most especially so during the Mother’s Day weekend that they served high tea. Now, for two months, loyalists in the north can easily gift (and receive) macarons, as Ladurée opens its pop up at Mega Fashion Hall. (We’re guessing it’ll be at the prime pop up space, which is in between Zara and H&M, on the ground floor.)
The pop up will be an almost-exact replica of the 8 Rockwell boutique, only a smaller scale. Its second Takashiyama outlet in Singapore comes to mind here– all of its signature macarons, jams, teas and candles, encased in what feels like a vintage candy counter bathed in 18th century French aristocracy green. Simply put, this Ladurée does not skimp on the experience.
For those already eyeing a Valentine’s gift, you can’t ever go wrong with pistachio or salted caramel macarons in a limited edition box. But for those thinking about the box, there’s a scented candle that gives the illusion of walking into a bakery filled to the brim with freshly baked brioche. You’re welcome.
