A jeweller known for its innovation and creative collaborations, Tiffany & Co. has enlisted the help of American designer Eddie Borgo to bring a fresh and creative vibe to its jewellery line.
A project done in collaboration with CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, Tiffany’s design director, Francesca Amfitheatrof tasked Eddie to design a capsule collection inspired by sculptor and founder of Whitney Museum of American Art, Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney.
An homage to the sculptor’s fluid lines combined with Borgo’s edgy downtown New York aesthetic, this jewellery collection highlights 18k yellow gold and freshwater pearls, a tribute to the sculptor’s love of pearls.
There are even a series of ear cuffs, pixie rings and pearl bar pins within the capsule collection, which brings a contemporary touch to the classic upbringing of Tiffany & Co.
The designer himself says, ““It’s less about Tiffany going downtown than Eddie Borgo moving uptown.”
The Tiffany & Co. x Eddie Borgo collection is limited to only 80 numbered pieces. For more information, visit www.tiffany.com
